I built Feal because I needed a tool to stay in touch with myself.
For a long time I treated emotions as problems to push down or get past. They didn't go anywhere — they just got stronger, and came out whether I wanted them to or not.
The last few years I've been learning the opposite. What's underneath is usually a signal that's there to help. Most of the time, it just wants to be heard.
Building that awareness was the first step for me, and the unlock for everything since. It's still the muscle I work on.
Paper journaling is the deeper version of this practice, and I've never stuck with it. Feal is the version I'll actually open — quick, simple, something I can do on my phone when life's happening. Something that meets me the way I wish my grounded, wiser self always could, especially when present me isn't there.
It's a solo indie project. I'd love to hear your feedback, good and bad. I hope you find it helpful, too.
